We all know this phrase that stands at the beginning of the preamble to the Constitution of the United States, which is supposed to serve as the law of the land.
“We the People.”
Those three words serve as a reminder that the Constitution of the United States was created by the sovereign states to, among other things, “… secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity …” In other words, the Constitution was designed primarily to secure the liberties of its citizens and “… insure domestic Tranquility ...”
In this regard, the Constitution builds on the framework established by the Declaration of Independence, which stated that “… to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem mostly likely to effect their safety and happiness.”
To put it succinctly, the expressed mission of our form of government is to serve the best interests of “We the People.” Does any American citizen truly believe our government lives up to this mission today?
Our southern border is virtually open to any illegal alien, human and drug trafficking cartel and terrorist who cross it, with little to no attempt to enforce our immigration laws.
Our tax dollars directly support illegals who lawlessly cross through housing, transportation and boarding subsidized by Uncle Sugar – subsidies not available to American citizens.
The outrageously out-of-control deficit spending by the Congress and the easy-money policies of the supposedly “independent” Federal Reserve are driving down the value of the dollar by the hour, which spits in the eye of the working men and women who fight a losing battle to maintain a stable standard of living.
The decline of K-12 public education, with fewer than 1/3 of high school graduates able to score minimal standards in reading, math and writing, in which teacher’s unions shove such divisive and destructive ideologies as Critical Race Theory down our children’s throats at the expense of teaching unifying basics.
The brutally inhumane and cowardly abandonment of our citizens and allies in Afghanistan after foolishly evacuating Baghram Air Base in the dead of the night, with little effort to coordinate an orderly withdrawl with our with allies. As a result, another Democrat administration produces another refugee crisis of enormous proportions that will impact the region and the world for generations.
Reports of the federal government paying farmers to destroy livestock and crops, which is being sold as a response to drought in the West due to the allegedly man-caused global climate change, likely guaranteeing food shortages.
In the midst of all this chaos, we face domestic opponents tied closely with the Deep State who are very well organized, with their Antifa goons, FBI red flag instigators and corrupt DOJ and hysterical Homeland Security warning that the biggest terrorist threat to our nation comes from white supremacists – again, with no supporting evidence.
So with all this negative, if not devastating, news, what’s a patriot to do?
